Tania Tupu Ngati Porou

Tania is a jewellery designer and maker of contemporary Maori and Pacific-inspired adornment. Quietly making jewellery for galleries across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific since 2006.  Tania has been stocking Te Papa Stores for over 15 years. 

Her studio is located in the picturesque beach settlement of Titahi Bay, Porirua. An aspiring businesswoman who has complimented her jewellery manufacturing with retailing. 

Tania represented the Tall Ferns-NZ Women’s Basketball team from 1992-2004 adorning the black jersey at the Sydney and Athens Olympic games.  Tania and her husband Chris Tupu (Former Tall Black 1991-2000) continue to give back to Basketball by coaching juniors and school-aged kids in Wellington.  Tania Tupu is the Head Coach for the central region Women's Professional Basketball Team the Tokomanawa Queens competing in the National league.
